Meet The Founder
Hi, I’m Kiruka Nwachukwu—an educator at heart and the founder of Pleasant Home School. My journey into teaching wasn’t exactly planned; in fact, I thought I’d end up anywhere but a classroom. But life has its way of leading us to our purpose, and for me, that purpose became clear when I served as a youth corps member teaching in a school. Seeing young minds light up as they understood a concept, grasped a new skill, or spoke confidently—it changed everything for me.
Over the years, teaching evolved from being a job to becoming my life’s work. I’ve been in education for 29 years, and before that, I was “teaching” anyone who’d listen. From the children’s department at church to classrooms in Ota, Ogun State, teaching has always been my way of giving back, nurturing futures, and making a difference.
Our Academic works
Nursery Class: This level of learners captures ages 0 to 6 years.
Primary Class: Lower Primary are year 1 to 3. That is Primary 1 or Basic 1 or year 1 , made up of children of ages 5-7 in lower primary classes and children of ages 8 to 11 ,in Upper Classes . This is basic 4 to 6.
Secondary: The secondary arm of PHS ranges from JSS 1 to JSS 3 for lower secondary, and SS 1 to SS 3 for upper secondary.

PHS, is one of the school I love so much. I love their standards of learning, the way they bring up their children, I can see it in the lives of my children, my daughter started at her early age a year and 11 months and she is 11years in JSS1 now, I have seen her improvements. She use to be shy before but now she is bold when talking and her performance academically she has improved, her writing skills is impressive, even my son he has a fine handwriting and the strictness to his academic performance in school i love it, and if he is not performing well they will inform us.

My Experience at Pleasant Home School. I brought my daughter, Grace to the school in Basic 3, based on recommendation. On one part I was impressed with her improved writing skills and reading skills. However I noticed Grace was uncomfortable with her teacher and I discovered unprofessionalism which affected my childs state of mind. At that point I had to withdraw her. However in Basic 5, I discovered that the school had made a remarkable improvement, I re-enrolled Grace, Since then it's been amazing. The teachers handle the students professionally and she has drastically improved in her academics. She was lagging behind in virtually all subjects but within a very short time the improvement has been so remarkable and highly commendable. On the social aspect, I am highly impressed how the standard meets, top rated schools. Ranging from the excursion to the airport, the ballet dance, cultural day, ICT program, and baking. Grace is so excited with most of her teachers and the students and the school at large. I highly recommend pleasant Home School to every parent looking for an affordable and top notch school for their kids.
